WAFL Grand Final teams: Four ins for Cox-less Peel as Claremont remain unchanged
Minor premiers Peel Thunder have made four changes for Sunday’s Sullivan Logistics WAFL decider against Claremont at Optus Stadium as they hunt their second premiership in three years.
The Thunder have welcomed back AFL-listed pair – winger Nathan O’Driscoll and defender Brandon Walker – from Dockers duties, while key forward Corey Tregenza has been included after recovering from an ankle injury.
Both O’Driscoll and Walker played in Fremantle’s Qualifying Final loss to Hawthorn, with Walker injuring his ankle and O’Driscoll getting dropped.
Tough nut Tristan Bryce is another big inclusion, returning for his first senior appearance since Round 11 after a long-term hamstring injury.

Peel Thunder have been the team to beat in the WAFL for much of the season but the Tigers have been right on their tail and they now meet in the grand final.
Peel will have a number of Dockers-listed players out there but Brennan Cox was withdrawn with the defender potentially suiting up for the AFL decider.
But Claremont have plenty of stars of their own and they will be hungry to taste the ultimate success.
Brandon Walker has been given the job on son-of-a-gun Zac Mainwaring.
Mainwaring has been a breakout player for the Tigers this season and was even in the mix for an AFL call ahead of the mid-season draft.

Peel Thunder’s Grand Final Selection Squeeze
Peel Thunder coach Adam Read admits when his team is announced for Sunday’s Sullivan Logistics WAFL Grand Final there will be players who are left heartbroken.
Read is on the verge of his second premiership as coach of Peel but knows the tough calls which will have to be made.
“Since I have taken this job, I have gone through every coaching course you could imagine and I don’t think it teaches you about how you are supposed to have those tough conversations on selection,” Read said.
The availability of Fremantle Dockers defender Brennan Cox is a bonus for the minor premiers who will start up to 14 AFL-listed players against Claremont.
