‘It’s not AI, it’s real’: shock as RSPCA releases images of 250 dogs found at property

Dozens of dogs were found crammed into single living room space at property in undisclosed location in UK

More than 250 dogs have been found at a property in scenes so shocking that the RSPCA was forced to deny allegations that the images were faked by artificial intelligence.

The animal welfare charity said it took in 87 dogs from the property at an undisclosed location in the UK and the remainder went to the Dogs Trust, another charity.

After the RSPCA posted images of the property online showing dozens of the animals crammed into a living room space, members of the public accused the charity of generating the photos with AI tools.

RSPCA says 250 dogs found crammed into one home

Rescuers have found more than 250 poodle-cross dogs living in a single home, the RSPCA has said.

The animal welfare charity said the numbers and living conditions of the dogs, discovered at an undisclosed location in the UK, "had rapidly grown out of control amid extenuating family circumstances".

It also said a "shocking" image taken by a rescuer – showing dozens of the dogs crammed into a living room – was not generated by AI, in response to dozens of comments on social media suggesting it was fake.

The photo illustrates the "staggering reality" of the multi-animal incidents dealt with by the RSPCA, which have increased by 70% in England and Wales since 2021, it said.

Moment more than 250 poodles are rescued from inside one home before getting an incredible makeover

This is the moment 250 poodles were rescued from the same house after their owners claimed they were 'overwhelmed by breeding'.

The poor animals were discovered in a home covered in their own filth with many of them suffering from sore skin and matted coats.

They had been in the care of an 'extremely vulnerable, elderly owner' and their living conditions had 'rapidly spiralled out of control', the RSPCA said.

In a disgusting picture from inside the house, the dogs can be seen clambering over each other as they fill a room nearly from wall to wall. Some of the pooches take shelter elsewhere with two sat under a table and one perched inside a woodburner.
