Follow all the action from Friday night's clash between Geelong and Gold Coast

GEELONG has been dealt a big blow an hour before its clash with Gold Coast on Friday night, with versatile mid Jack Bowes a late withdrawal.

The 28-year-old has been replaced in the side by George Stevens, who comes in for just his third AFL game and first of the season.

Bowes has been battling hamstring tightness and was seen undergoing a fitness test under the watchful eyes of medical staff in the hours before the game, but the Cats opted not to risk him for the clash at GMHBA Stadium.

Match Preview | White Out Game at the Cattery

The stage is set for an unmissable night at GMHBA Stadium, with the Cats set to take on the Gold Coast Suns

The White Out Game has arrived and the Cats are set for one of the biggest nights of the year, set to take on the Gold Coast Suns in a Friday night blockbuster at GMHBA Stadium.

It looms as an important game for Geelong two weeks out from their mid-season bye, as they look to bounce back after suffering consecutive defeats over the past two weeks.

The two sides met earlier in the year and the Suns prevailed on the Gold Coast, but the Cats hold a perfect 8-0 record against the visitors at Kardinia Park.

Live: Gold Coast edging tight start to crucial clash with Geelong

Geelong kicks seven-straight goals to take control of a crucial clash with Gold Coast, as Suns coach Damien Hardwick sees red.

Boos ring around Kardinia Park as Bailey Smith lays a terrific tackle on Matt Rowell, but isn't rewarded with a holding the ball free kick.

Smith dragged Rowell to ground after Rowell had tried to fend him off, and then Rowell was able to handball it away.

He got ample time to get rid of that one, he's a lucky man.

The Suns are able to proceed forward after Rowell's handball and Ben King takes an uncontested mark inside 50.

Dragons: Interim coach Dean Young has been forced into a late change after Jaydn Su'A injured his calf at training on Friday morning. Hayden Buchanan will come into the centres. "Hayden's been waiting for his opportunity. He's a good young kid, he's played against the Warriors before and done a really good job so I've got a lot of confidence that he'll go well," Young said. Tyrell Sloan has overcome a groin injury to be named on the bench. Calliope Roosters junior Tyler Peckham-Harris has been named among the reserves for the first time in his young career.

NRL Team Update: Tuivasa-Sheck into the centres

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will start in the centres in the One New Zealand Warriors’ round 12 NRL clash against the Dragons at St George Venues Jubilee Stadium in Sydney today (5.30pm kick-off local time; 7.30pm NZT).

At the 24-hour deadline before kick-off, Tuivasa-Sheck was moved into the starting lineup replacing Adam Pompey on the left edge he filled in the wins over the Storm, Titans, Dolphins and Eels.

David Letterman returns to 'Late Show,' slams CBS for Colbert cancellation

David Letterman returned to his former home, the Ed Sullivan Theater, on Thursday, May 14, to appear as one of the final guests on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," before the show concludes on May 21.

"I came very close to being teary about that," Letterman, 79, told Colbert, 62, of his emotional return, before quickly throwing in a jab at CBS. "You know what happened backstage? I'm standing [there]. A guy comes over, and he says he's from CBS, and then he fired me."

Later in the show, Letterman and Colbert channeled their rage at Colbert's cancellation in a zany segment that saw the TV hosts hurl several pieces of furniture off the roof of the Ed Sullivan Theater. A bullseye in the shape of CBS' logo was used as their target.

Colbert and Letterman Launch Pieces of ‘Late Show’ Set Off Ed Sullivan Theater Onto CBS Logo Ahead of Show’s Final Week

Letterman's appearance on the series arrived exactly one week before Colbert's final show on May 21.

One week ahead of the final episode of The Late Show, David Letterman joined Stephen Colbert to commend the end of the late night series.

To really commemorate the occasion, the hosts made their way to the top of the Ed Sullivan Theater where they threw off a few pieces of set furniture onto none other than CBS‘ eyemark logo.

“I thought maybe tonight’s occasion would be a little sad, being the end of your run here, but this brings true joy to my heart,” Letterman said. “We are up here for the wanton destruction of CBS property.”

Stephen Colbert and David Letterman throwing CBS furniture off the roof is glorious viewing

Stephen Colbert's Late Show is coming to an end next week, and David Letterman wasted no time helping him clear the place out.

In the clip above the two Late Show hosts stand on the roof of the Ed Sullivan Theater with some stolen talk show chairs, Colbert's Eames desk chair, and a few bonus melons, launching them over the edge at a giant CBS logo far below.

Needless to say it's extremely entertaining viewing, as is Letterman's final message to CBS: "Good night and good luck, motherf***ers."
