    NFL Network: Saints DT Bryan Bresee feared to have suffered torn ACL | Latest NFL News, Analysis & Updates

    Defensive tackle Bryan Bresee is feared to have suffered a torn ACL, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported.

    Tests are ongoing, but it's likely the 2023 first-rounder will be ruled out for the season, Rapoport noted.

    Saints head coach Kellen Moore told WWL Radio that Bresee appeared to suffer a non-contact injury during one of the early team periods. Moore couldn't confirm the exact injury, but said "it doesn't look great."

    The No. 29 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Bresee hasn't lived up to the lofty draft status, but has flashed some improvement the past two years. The 24-year-old was poised to play a key role along Brandon Staley's defensive line. 2025 third-rounder Vernon Broughton, who played one game last year, and 2026 second-rounder Christen Miller will now be tasked with larger roles. Given the lack of experience, the Saints could look to add a veteran presence along the line in the coming weeks.

    Australian Tara Neyland has raced into the gold medal final, with a factored time of 4:45.796 for the 4,000m.

    Twenty-five Aussies are pulling on the green and gold for track and Para track cycling at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

    Growing up in a cycling-obsessed family, McCaig has ascended quickly through the junior ranks, debuting at the Commonwealth Games in 2022 as the youngest cyclist on the Australian team. She heads to Glasgow as Australia’s reigning national champion in the sprint and keirin.

    Kristina Clonan is one of Australia's leading track sprinters and a reigning Commonwealth Games gold medallist. Originally an endurance rider, Clonan switched to sprinting after missing selection for the Tokyo Olympic Games. The move was transformative, with Clonan going on to win multiple national sprint titles and gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, breaking the Games record in the 500m time trial previously held by Anna Meares. After missing much of the 2025 season through injury, Clonan heads to Glasgow determined to defend her title.

    One of the most hotly anticipated showdowns of the 2026 Commonwealth Games has been unceremoniously called off with the news England's Matt Richardson will not ride in the track cycling.

    The sprint champion who represented Australia before defecting to the country of his birth following the Paris Olympics in 2024 has been ruled out by injury, Team England announced.

    Richardson was racing in Japan and had been set to arrive in Scotland just before the track cycling program in Glasgow gets underway on Thursday.

    Former Australian cyclist who defected to Team GB pulls out of Commonwealth Games with injury

    Former Australian track cyclist Matt Richardson has pulled out of the Commonwealth Games because of an injury he suffered while racing in Japan.

    In a major blow to the Glasgow games, the English team announced on Wednesday night (AEST) that their sprint ace would no longer compete.

    Richardson sensationally defected from Australia to Great Britain soon after winning three medals at the Paris Olympics.

    The Kent-born star’s showdown with former teammate Leigh Hoffman shaped as one of the biggest stories of the games.

    “Unfortunately, due to an injury sustained in international racing earlier this week, Matt Richardson will no longer be able to compete for Team England at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games,” team management posted on Instagram.
