One My Reno Rules contestant has openly admitted she is ready to be a “manipulator” to get ahead as a $23,000 budget blowout turned a high-end living room dream into a DIY “crime scene”.

The moment came in the opening episode of Seven’s new renovation show, which dropped four Aussie teams into two tired 1970s Bulleen houses, with a $100,000 prize on the line.

Faf du Plessis breaks down Shubman Gill's success this season as a captain and the factors behind it (3:40)

At the bottom of the table, their reputation as a big team under threat, Mumbai Indians put their reputation of being the best scouts in the spotlight, handing out debuts to two players yet to play any senior Twenty20 cricket. The 22-year-old Danish Malewar is a batter from Vidarbha, 21-year-old Krish Bhagat a pace bowler from Punjab. Malewar was going to be the first one to be tested as hosts Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to field on a black-soil pitch largely because of potential dew in Ahmedabad.

Donald Trump took questions from Australian reporters outside the White House. (Reuters: Jessica Koscielniak)

Australia will join dozens of other countries for talks about the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz on Friday, Paris time.

Donald Trump has again accused Australia of refusing to help the US in the Strait of Hormuz, but the Australian government maintains there has been no formal request for help from the US.

Albanese says he has spoken to the workers at the oil refinery near Geelong after a large fire at the facility, which supplies half of Victoria’s fuel and 10% of Australia’s.

He said the fire has temporarily affected the plant’s production capability and did not give a timeline on when it would be back to normal.

The blaze at the Viva Energy facility in Corio – one of two refineries left in the country – broke out just after 11pm Wednesday, with Fire Rescue Victoria alerted to the blaze by multiple calls to triple zero reporting explosions and flames.

Horford won't start Wednesday's Play-In Tournament game against the Clippers, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.

The veteran big man got the starting nod with Draymond Green (back) sidelined in Sunday's regular-season finale — a loss to the Clippers — though Horford will retreat to the second unit in Wednesday's do-or-die matchup. The 39-year-old averaged 7.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 blocks in 20.6 minutes per game across 32 regular-season appearances off the bench.

‘It’s not AI, it’s real’: shock as RSPCA releases images of 250 dogs found at property

Dozens of dogs were found crammed into single living room space at property in undisclosed location in UK

More than 250 dogs have been found at a property in scenes so shocking that the RSPCA was forced to deny allegations that the images were faked by artificial intelligence.

The animal welfare charity said it took in 87 dogs from the property at an undisclosed location in the UK and the remainder went to the Dogs Trust, another charity.

After the RSPCA posted images of the property online showing dozens of the animals crammed into a living room space, members of the public accused the charity of generating the photos with AI tools.

RSPCA says 250 dogs found crammed into one home

Rescuers have found more than 250 poodle-cross dogs living in a single home, the RSPCA has said.

The animal welfare charity said the numbers and living conditions of the dogs, discovered at an undisclosed location in the UK, "had rapidly grown out of control amid extenuating family circumstances".

It also said a "shocking" image taken by a rescuer – showing dozens of the dogs crammed into a living room – was not generated by AI, in response to dozens of comments on social media suggesting it was fake.

The photo illustrates the "staggering reality" of the multi-animal incidents dealt with by the RSPCA, which have increased by 70% in England and Wales since 2021, it said.

Moment more than 250 poodles are rescued from inside one home before getting an incredible makeover

This is the moment 250 poodles were rescued from the same house after their owners claimed they were 'overwhelmed by breeding'.

The poor animals were discovered in a home covered in their own filth with many of them suffering from sore skin and matted coats.

They had been in the care of an 'extremely vulnerable, elderly owner' and their living conditions had 'rapidly spiralled out of control', the RSPCA said.

In a disgusting picture from inside the house, the dogs can be seen clambering over each other as they fill a room nearly from wall to wall. Some of the pooches take shelter elsewhere with two sat under a table and one perched inside a woodburner.

Adam Back says he is not Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto

A British Bitcoin entrepreneur has told the BBC he is not the digital currency's mysterious inventor after a New York Times article named him as its creator.

Bosch wants SA to 'not overcomplicate or overthink' ahead of decider against NZ

Anneke Bosch, who top-scored for South Africa in their defeat to New Zealand in the second ODI on Wednesday, feels "not trying to overcomplicate" things would be her team's plan in the series-deciding third game on Saturday.

"Just keeping things simple. I think on the field, just sticking to our plans and sticking to the basics, not trying to overcomplicate it or overthink it, and just taking our chances as well – because we let ourselves down in the field a couple of times in this series," Bosch said on the eve of the match. "A series win is up for grabs, and we really want that, along with the points in the ICC [Women's] Championship. So, it's a really important game tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be another good one, and we'll be better than the previous game."

Piers Morgan’s interview with a “Manosphere” influencer came to an abrupt end on Wednesday when the streamer flashed a picture of Morgan’s wife lounging by the pool in her bathing suit.

The bizarre moment happened about 15 minutes into an interview Morgan was doing with Harrison Sullivan, who is better known as “HSTikkyTokky” on TikTok and other social platforms. Things were already a bit tense before the conversation went completely off the rails when Sullivan mocked the host for a picture his wife Celia Walden posted on Instagram.

The phrase piers morgan wife became central to the clash on-screen.

Verified fact: Piers Morgan, presenter and host of the show Piers Morgan: Uncensored, invited Harrison Sullivan, known online as HSTikkyTokky, to appear on his live-streaming channel for a discussion about the documentary Inside the Manosphere by Louis Theroux.

'Let's not scare South Australians': What the public wasn't told about the toxic algal bloom

The South Australian government took months to update its health advice after the discovery of a potentially harmful toxin in the state's disastrous algal bloom, insisting it posed minimal risk to humans.

For the past year, algae has flared at hotspots along the SA coastline, wiping out vast populations of marine life, closing parts of the fishing industry, and making some who have gone to the beach sick.

Despite the devastation, Premier Peter Malinauskas has remained upbeat and reassuring.

"The reality of the algal bloom sometimes isn't nearly as bad as people's perception of it," Mr Malinauskas told a media conference in October.

Stripped of life: the deadly South Australian algal bloom is still spreading one year on

More than 20,000 sq km of coast has succumbed to Australia’s first bloom of toxic Karenia cristata algae – and scientists worry it could explode again

The largest and most destructive algal bloom in Australia’s history is persisting along parts of the South Australian coastline, a year on from when it was first detected.

From a distance, it can be hard to grasp just how unusual and devastating the crisis has been.

Most harmful blooms only last a few weeks. This one has been unrelenting.

Since March last year it has affected 20,000 sq km of coast – an area twice the size of greater Sydney – and ranks among the worst for marine mass mortality globally, killing millions of sea creatures – from tiny shellfish to top predators like white sharks.
