3 things to watch for in Lakers-Suns on League Pass

Both the Lakers and Suns look to snap two-game losing streaks when they meet in Phoenix on Thursday night.

Phoenix Suns Royce O’Neale and Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James look to snap their teams’ two-game losing streaks.

The Los Angeles Lakers (34-23, 6th in Western Conference) go on the road for the first time since Feb. 3 when they visit the Phoenix Suns (33-26, 7th in West) on Thursday (9 ET). LA went 4-4 during their 8-game homestand, while the Suns are 3-7 over their last ten outings.

    1. Injuries, offensive struggles for Suns: The injury bug is flying freely in Phoenix and it wreaked havoc in The Valley post All-Star break. After just 9 minutes of play in the Suns’ first game back following the festivities, Devin Booker sustained a hip flexor that has kept him on the shelf since. Two nights later, Dillon Brooks, who’s averaging a career-high 20.9 ppg during his first season in purple and orange, broke his left hand and will be sidelined 4-6 weeks. In the same contest, Jordan Goodwin, an important contributor off the bench, suffered a calf injury that will keep him out of the lineup for 1-to-2 weeks before being reevaluated. All in all, those three players account for 54.5 of Phoenix’s 112.1 ppg. As a result, the Suns have scored less than 95 points in three of their last four games, posting an NBA-worst 91.3 ppg during that stretch. They’ll need guys like Grayson Allen (17.2 ppg), Collin Gillespie (13.4 ppg) and Jalen Green (13.3 ppg) to step up in a big way, and a matchup against the Lakers’ 24th-ranked defense (116.6 DEFRTG) could be just what this team needs to get back on the right track.

Lakers Hit With More Bad News After Ayton Rant

The Los Angeles Lakers absorbed more bad news following a crushing one-point loss as they try to steady themselves in a tightening Western Conference race.

Japanese forward Rui Hachimura has been downgraded to out with an illness on the NBA’s official injury report, leaving the Los Angeles Lakers shorthanded ahead of a pivotal road matchup against the Phoenix Suns.

The absence comes on the heels of a heartbreaking 110–109 loss to the Orlando Magic, a game that further exposed the Lakers’ thin margin for error as they jockey for playoff positioning.

At 34–23, Los Angeles sits sixth in the Western Conference, with Phoenix trailing by just two games in the tightly packed play-in picture. With fewer than 25 games remaining, every result carries postseason weight — particularly for a team still searching for lineup consistency under JJ Redick, now in his second season on the bench.

Rui Hachimura Injury: Ruled out with illness

Hachimura won't play in Thursday's game against the Suns due to an illness, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com.

Hachimura can be tentatively labeled as questionable for Saturday's clash with the Warriors. With the 28-year-old forward sidelined, the door is open for each of Jake LaRavia, Luke Kennard and Marcus Smart to seize a more sizable role Thursday.

Nuggets vs. Clippers Prediction: Last Games, Injury Report, Player Stats, H2H & Best Picks – Feb 19, 2026

The NBA returned from the All-Star break with an exciting Western Conference battle as the Denver Nuggets visited the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome on February 19, 2026. This matchup carried major playoff implications, with Denver looking to strengthen its position among the top teams in the West, while the Clippers were fighting to stay alive in the Play-In race.

Before the game, most predictions favored Denver because of their strong offense and the return of Nikola Jokic. However, the Clippers came in with momentum, a reshaped roster after the trade deadline, and a confident Kawhi Leonard leading the charge. What followed was a tight, high-intensity contest that went down to the final moments and delivered one of the most competitive games of the night.

New MacBook with ‘fun colors’ sounds like the best Mac for most people

For years now, the best Mac for most people has been the MacBook Air. But that may be about to change, with a revival of the suffix-free ‘MacBook’ coming soon.

The last time Apple launched a new ‘MacBook’ was 2015, and the product clearly seemed aimed at dethroning the MacBook Air.

Like the Air, that new MacBook specialized in being thin and light, it eliminated ports, and it introduced a brand new look set to define the future of Mac design.

But despite gaining some loyal fans, the MacBook never caught on with the general public. Instead, most users preferred to keep buying the cheaper MacBook Air.

Burnley have the chance of a Cup run, Leicester fear an unwelcome repeat and Brighton fans get a raw deal

Chelsea have kept two clean sheets in 10 games since appointing Liam Rosenior as head coach last month. Repeated doziness at the back has cost them. They have held commanding advantages against Charlton, Crystal Palace, Wolves and Leeds, only to give away silly goals. It is a bad habit and proved costly when a 2-0 lead was squandered during Tuesday’s draw with Leeds. Rosenior was livid afterwards, and is waiting for a consistent performance. Chelsea travel to Hull , Rosenior’s former club, on Friday night. They will surely advance against Championship opponents, but how they do it will matter. It is time for them to get serious. China 0-4 Japan Live Score, AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026 Final: Samurai Blue Claim Back-To-Back Titles

The final whistle is blown and Japan are champions again! The Samurai Blue become the first team in AFC U23 Asian Cup history to clinch back-to-back titles, capping their defence with a superlative 4-0 victory over China. Spare a thought for the Dragon Team too, however, who were outclassed in the final but had already created history by advancing past the group stage for the first time in the competition.

The party continues for Japan. Kosei Ogura nets his second goal of the night to put the Samurai Blue 4-0 up, and surely seal their victory in the 76th minute. This is already the highest number of goals scored in a final of the AFC U23 Asian Cup, and would be the largest margin of victory if the scoreline stays this way.

Jazz vs. Spurs Prediction, Odds and Best NBA Prop Bets for Monday, Jan. 19

This game will start at 5 p.m. EST on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as Victor Wembanyama and company are favored heavily against a Utah team that has dropped three games in a row and eight of its last 10.

The Jazz are quietly tanking at this point in the season, as they’d like to lock up their top-eight protected pick that they owe to the Oklahoma City Thunder. As a result, Lauri Markkanen – a potential All-Star this season – has missed three games in a row and is out for Monday’s contest.

Set yourself up for an Attenborough inspired Urban Safari

While best known for nature documentaries featuring wildlife from across the globe, Sir David Attenborough's latest programme, broadcast over the festive season and co-produced by London Wildlife Trust, focused on opportunities to see and enjoy wildlife close to home. — writes Erin McDaid of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. Despite having grown up locally in Leicester, home for Sir David for over 70 years, has been London.

While the programme focussed on wildlife in the capital, most of the species featured can be seen here in Notts – and many parts of the country.

The adaptability of creatures to live alongside us, and changes to how we manage the countryside can often mean urban wildlife watching trips are more rewarding than trips to the countryside. Unless you're visiting a nature reserve with habitats such as wetland, where large numbers of waterfowl might gather, many parts of our rural landscape are surprisingly devoid of wildlife, and those species that do thrive can be elusive.

FA Cup third round: 10 things to look out for this weekend

Macclesfield and Weston-super-Mare carry the non-league hopes while fringe players need to seize their chances

Silly goals conceded, chances missed, a lead surrendered and points squandered against relegation fodder. On the face of things, Manchester United have changed manager but nothing else. The reality is different. They started slowly at Burnley, settling into a 4-2-3-1 formation that suits them – and pretty much every other team – far better than Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 before, midway through the first half, they started to play. The deployment of Bruno Fernandes close to the opposition goal, along with a wide player, Patrick Dorgu, playing on his natural side, meant Benjamin Sesko was, for the first time, provided with decent service. Then, following Jaidon Anthony’s equaliser, Darren Fletcher’s side risked defeat by going all out for the win – one nearly achieved through the timely introduction of Shea Lacey, a richly talented 18-year-old. Brighton will present far stiffer opposition but, for the first time in a long time, United are doing what United are meant to do. Daniel Harris

The English FA Cup third round kicks off Friday, and it remains one of the most anticipated dates on the calendar — a weekend when non-league part-timers get the chance to realize the dream of playing — and beating — professional clubs, including the biggest teams in the Premier League.

It can be a weekend the top clubs dread given the risk of becoming the victim of a giant-killing, but it is the first step on the road to Wembley for the teams hoping to win the competition this season.
