Wests Tigers have signalled their belief in Adam Doueihi's move to halfback by rewarding the playmaker with a two-year contract extension.

The Tigers announced on Friday, a little more than 24 hours ahead of their season opener with North Queensland, that Doueihi had penned a deal that will keep him at Concord until the end of 2029.

Only Alex Twal and Sione Fainu, whose deals also expire in 2029, are signed as long as Doueihi.

The new contract is a huge showing of faith from both parties given the Tigers' struggles under Benji Marshall and Doueihi's luckless run with injuries.

The undated photograph is the first known image of the trio together and shows the former prince and Lord Mandelson wearing bathrobes while sitting with Epstein.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor and Lord Mandelson have both been arrested on suspicion of misconduct while in public office over their dealings with Epstein, and have been released but remain under investigation.

George Russell and Kimi Antonelli claimed a one-two at the opening round in Australia last weekend. Michael Jordan may be the greatest of all time, but he could soon be usurped in a major stat by Australian star Josh Giddey, who has now moved up to second spot on the list of most triple-doubles by Chicago Bulls players.

A triple-double is when a player cracks triple digits in three major stats categories – points, rebounds and assists – with Giddey moving past Bulls legend Scottie Pippen into second spot on Monday (AEDT).

On Friday, the Australian Financial Review reported China had notified oil refiners to halt all exports, casting doubt over at least two cargoes due to be shipped to Australia.

China’s decision to cancel contracts to ship fuels to foreign buyers risks leaving an underprepared Australia badly exposed, as Energy Minister Chris Bowen conceded for the first time that war in the Middle East and the resulting global scramble for energy could lead to shortages within a month.
