Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Australia Trip Marks Latest ‘Setback’ In Prince William Rift (Exclusive)

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent trip to Australia has become the latest ‘setback’ in his already estranged relationship with his brother, Prince William.

And the younger royal’s recent remarks abroad have fueled tensions in an already fragile situation between the brothers.

“I was like, ‘I don’t want this job. I don’t want this role — wherever this is headed, I don’t like it,’” Harry, 41, revealed during a post-speech conversation at the InterEdge Summit on April 16.

The Duke of Sussex was referring to his former role as a senior working royal, something he said he had no interest in following the 1997 tragic death of his mom, Princess Diana.

Prince Harry and William’s rift takes major turn

The royal rift between Prince Harry and his brother Prince William shows no signs of easing, as a royal source reveals the Montecito couple's Australian tour is the latest source of tension.

Prince William is maintaining "firm boundaries" with his estranged brother, Prince Harry, following the Montecito-based royals' head-scratching tour of Australia.

The brothers' rift dates back to 2016, when William raised concerns about the rapid pace of Harry's relationship with Meghan Markle.

Years on, the pair are yet to heal old wounds, and appear to have opened new ones.

According to an insider, there has been no communication between the brothers, with the distance between them unchanged.
