The 2026 edition of the T20 World Cup is here: the tournament will be spread across two countries, with 20 teams in action. Here's everything you might want to know about the T20 World Cup 2026.

The 2026 T20 World Cup will begin on February 7 (11am local time), with Pakistan taking on Netherlands in the first game, and will run till March 8. The first match will be held at Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. Two venues have been marked for the final – Ahmedabad or Colombo – based on whether Pakistan qualify for it.

The 10th edition of the men's T20 World Cup begins this Saturday, February 7 when Pakistan take on Netherlands in Colombo, followed by West Indies facing Scotland in Kolkata and later co-hosts India kicking off their campaign against the United States in Mumbai.

India and Sri Lanka are co-hosting the tournament with Pakistan to play all their matches, including any finals, exclusively in the island nation under an agreement with ICC. That did include their Group A clash with India scheduled for February 15 until the Pakistan government announced last Sunday their team would boycott that match.

All the Broadcast details for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

The ICC have announced the broadcast arrangements for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. 20 teams will compete across 55 matches from 7 February to 8 March.

The tournament will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, with fans around the world able to follow the action live across television, digital, audio and emerging formats.

In addition to the main tournament, official warm-up matches will also be broadcast across selected TV and digital platforms, giving fans an early opportunity to follow teams ahead of the opening fixture.

A storming batting display sees India beat South Africa by 30 runs in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Warm-up 2026.

How to watch ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 warm-up fixtures

The complete fixtures list for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 warm-up matches has been confirmed and 2024 semi-finalists Afghanistan will take on Scotland in the opening warm-up clash on February 2.

A total of 16 games will take place across four cities from February 2-6, before the marquee event in India and Sri Lanka begins on February 7.

While Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai will host the games in India, the warm-up matches in Sri Lanka will take place in Colombo.

Two grounds at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai and the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai have been selected as venues for warm-up matches in India. The SSC Cricket Ground, R. Premadasa Stadium, and Colombo Cricket Club Ground will host matches in the Sri Lankan capital.

The Green Shirts chased down the 111-run target for the loss of two wickets in 17.1 overs.

Openers Hamza Zahoor and Minhas set the tone early, as the duo dealt in boundaries to put pressure on the New Zealand bowling attack with a solid partnership to launch the chase.

The partnership was broken when Zahoor was dismissed for eight off 11 balls, including two fours, by Mason Clarke, leaving the team at 18-1 after 2.5 overs.

When the final whistle blew to confirm non-league Macclesfield's stunning FA Cup upset of holders Crystal Palace, it prompted memorable scenes. Fans poured on to the pitch and lifted captain Paul Dawson into the air.

With his head bandaged after a clash early in a remarkable 2-1 win, Dawson embodied the spirit and character of the whole team as they made light of being ranked five divisions and 117 places below their Premier League opponents.

In terms of the difference in league places, it was the greatest shock in the prestigious competition's long history. Thwe gap was not evident on the pitch – Macclesfield fully deserved the result.

Wayne Rooney has congratulated his younger brother, John, after he led Macclesfield to FA Cup victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

John, five years Wayne’s junior, is in his first managerial job but outfoxed Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace, winning 2-1 after goals from Paul Dawson and Isaac Buckley-Ricketts cancelled out Yeremy Pino’s late consolation.

It is, statistically, the biggest FA Cup upset of all time. Macclesfield and Crystal Palace are separated by 117 places in the football pyramid, the largest ever disparity in an FA Cup victory.

It is also the first time the competition’s holder has been knocked out by a non-league side since Crystal Palace themselves did so in 1909, beating Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Silly goals conceded, chances missed, a lead surrendered and points squandered against relegation fodder. On the face of things, Manchester United have changed manager but nothing else. The reality is different. They started slowly at Burnley, settling into a 4-2-3-1 formation that suits them – and pretty much every other team – far better than Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 before, midway through the first half, they started to play. The deployment of Bruno Fernandes close to the opposition goal, along with a wide player, Patrick Dorgu, playing on his natural side, meant Benjamin Sesko was, for the first time, provided with decent service. Then, following Jaidon Anthony’s equaliser, Darren Fletcher’s side risked defeat by going all out for the win – one nearly achieved through the timely introduction of Shea Lacey, a richly talented 18-year-old.
